This is the page for information on the American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO) Region 58 at the Van Nuys/Sherman Oaks Park. This is between Van Nuys Blvd and Hazeltine Ave., and south of Magnolia Blvd. Check out Fields for maps.

AYSO is an all-volunteer organization. It is a most rewarding family experience, one of laughter and learning in a soccer community that cares about the positive development of your children. Without the dedicated parents and friends serving as coaches, referees and administrators, our program would not exist. All families are required to volunteer.

The American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO) is a national association of nearly 630,000 boys and girls from ages 4 to 18 who play soccer in 46 states. Founded in Torrance in 1964, the nonprofit organization has 250,000 volunteers. Region 58 is based at the Van Nuys/Sherman Oaks Park (see Fields for a map).

The five philosophies of AYSO are: everyone plays, balanced teams, open registration, positive coaching, and good sportsmanship.

We are a community-based organization with a family orientation and without your support there can be no program. We will only be able to accommodate an amount of players that is consistent with the amount of coaches and referees we have to administrate the upcoming season. This is your chance to help out in some capacity so more kids will benefit and be able to play (click here to see volunteer positions).
