Picture Day, Saturday, October 3, 2009

THE BASICS!

  • AYSO Registration Fees include the standard picture packet.
    • The standard picture packet includes: 1 – 5”x7” Team picture, 1 – 3½”x5” Individual photo, 4 – jumbo wallet pictures, and 1 – 3” Photo button
  • ONLY players wanting ADDITIONAL photo packages should fill out the SPECIAL ORDER FORM
  • This is a big undertaking –over 1800 kids will have their pictures taken.  Please make every effort to be on time and to cooperate with volunteers who will be helping with Picture Day.

TEAM PARENT RESPONSIBILITIES – Things to do in preparation for Picture Day and on arriving at the park Saturday, September 27th , Picture Day:

  • Make sure everyone on your team knows that they need to be at the park 1½ hours before your scheduled game time.  Although this seems like it’s awfully early, Picture Day usually brings extra delays in finding parking.  And it’s important that teams be on time so that pictures can be taken and games can be played on time.
  • Your team should assemble in the area behind/around the Snack Bar.
  • The Picture Day Team Information Sheet should be completed before hand and verified with players as the players arrive.  If players want nicknames instead of given names, for example, “Bill” instead of “William”, in the Yearbook or on Trophies, the desired name should be on the Picture Day Team Information Sheet
  • Make sure that players wanting additional picture packages have completed the Special Order Form and have payment with them.  Again, ONLY PLAYERS WANTING ADDITIONAL PICTURE PACKAGES need to complete the Special Order form.
  • Arrange for another parent to watch and secure all equipment, bags, water, balls, snacks, etc., outside the Picture Day Area—only Players, Coaches, and Team Parents will be entering the Picture Day Area. Arrangements should be made for siblings and other small children to be watched outside the Picture Day area.  All equipment will need to be left outside the Picture Day Area.
  • Team players should be place in line by height, shortest first to tallest last.
  • Once everyone is assembled and in line, information sheet verified, then proceed to the Station 1 – Entrance Gate leading into the Picture Day Area.

What to expect inside the Picture Day Area during picture taking:

  • The Volunteer at Station 1 – Entrance Gate, the gate leading into the Picture Day Area, will

  • The Volunteer at Station 4 – Exit Gate will
